3 Simple Ways To Upgrade Your Life

We live such busy lives and are constantly being pulling in many different directions. From work projects to family events to social obligations, it's a never-ending cycle, no wonder why we have such a hard time finding time for ourselves! 

With all that we have going each day, how can we focus on being healthy both physically and mentally? Stress and overwhelm take a toll on our health, we skip workouts because we don't have time and we fuel our bodies with food that does more damage than good. 

How can we stop this vicious cycle and find a way to upgrade our life? 

It starts with how we take care of ourselves. If we can't function properly and be present in each moment, we will not show up as our best self to those that matter the most in our lives. 

I have struggled with managing stress and neglecting self-care many times in the past but I've found these 3 simple steps very useful for they have kept me on a consistent routine. 

Are you ready to live your best life and bring more joy to each day? Wouldn't it fill amazing to be on your A game on a daily basis? I think so!

Here are my 3 Simple Ways to Upgrade Your Life TODAY!

  1. Create a Morning Ritual
    Each morning before you check your email, text, or social media, spend 15-30 minutes doing a morning ritual. This can be different for each person depending on your personal needs. The important thing is to get started! Here are a few of my favorite practicing for my morning ritual.
    • Meditate for 3-5 minutes (guided apps are a great tool for rookies)
    • Read a personal development book for 5-10 minutes
    • Journal for 3-5 minutes
    • Plan your day for 5-10 minutes

  2. Eat Fresh Foods
    We all know we need to eat better, but how many of us are actually doing this DAILY? What we fuel our body with is vital to our performance, energy, and focus! Cut out all proceeded foods and eat fresh. It just takes a little bit of planning, but I promise, this is not a time suck! I suggest planning out your meals every Sunday so you have a game plan for the week ahead! Make a double batch of food for dinner so that you have plenty of leftovers to take to work for lunch. Eat 5 meals a day and drink a minimum of 64 oz of water! 

  3. Exercise Daily
    Movement is one of the most important things you can do for yourself. You do not need to workout for an hour 5 days a week! Short intense workouts that are about 25-30 minutes long are even more effective! If you are short on time, make sure you take a 20-30 minute walk in the middle of the day. If you can get in the habit of exercising first thing in the morning, you will reap the benefits all day long! Your metabolism will be revved up and you'll have a ton of energy. Just note that you will still need to get around 7 hours of sleep the night before! 

If you want to change something in your daily life, you have to change what you do daily. It's really that simple. I know that change can be difficult at first, but when you make it a habit you'll do it without even thinking about it!

I encourage you to incorporate these 3 simple steps into your daily routine and you will be on your way to upgrading your life. That is what I call THE DRIVEN LIFE!
